So last night my friends and I decided that we were all going to go to the Donald Trump Rally in Columbus Ohio, our hometown. We went not in support of him, but to get extra credit in humanities. When we got in we decided we were going to silently protest until two college students came up us and asked if we were supporting him. They we’re a bit shocked when we told them that we weren’t. Trump was late on the stage but about 40 minutes of listening to him ramble about himself he decide to bring up terrorism. He began to speak about how we shouldn’t let in Syrian refugees anymore when the two collage students with us began to chant “Hating Muslims helps ISIS!” until Trump noticed. He kept looking at us, trying to talk over my friends who began joining in. Surrounding people told us to shut up but they kept chanting. Finally Trump had enough and told his people to “get them the hell out of here!” This is a video that I took before his people began to push and grab us forcing us to leave after exercising the first amendment of the freedom of speech. As we were leaving my friends and I were called the N word, N word lovers, terrorist, towel heads, faggots, fuckers, etc. (I think you get the point) later on news websites it states that there were only “two protestors” when there really were about ten of us. People commented in those videos that we were conducting illegal activity while his followers were giving us death threats. This experience was honestly one of the most terrifying things that I have ever done. It was worth it though, and not everyone there was in support of him. I just want you guys to know the truth, thank you for reading this far down too. Please share this so the incident gets more recognition.

But can we talk about how Snape is just a failure at his job, not even mentioning what a cruel asshole he is to children? He’s the “Potion Master” for 15 years, and while he’s a great potionmaker he’s an all around flop as a teacher. The only thing Snape does in class is humiliate his students - he never actually teaches them anything (Harry legit says this in HBP). They just follow the instructions from textbooks and if they do anything wrong, Snape only further belittles them.

By the time Snape is 16, though, he’s already great at the subject - he knows all the tips and tricks to make better potions. He KNOWS that textbooks are flawed, incomplete, and give inefficient instructions and has basically rewritten/improved almost all the potions in his textbook.

But he never shares that knowledge! He never passes on that know- how or make any attempts to change these obsolete potionmaking steps with instructions HE KNOWS are much more successful. Why not retake his old notes and give them to his students? Probably cause that would actually be beneficial to them, and Snape really couldn’t have that. Students? Learning??? Not on his watch!

tl;dr Snape is SUCH a douche and the worst teacher.

Okay, but imagine the first time Steve and Bucky hear the term “feminazi.” Some dudebro at a convention or public event the team is forced to go to calls a woman a feminazi, and Steve and Bucky just lose it and start yelling at the guy because they’ve lost friends to actual Nazis, and a woman standing up for her rights as a human being is not comparable to slaughtering millions of people.

“What did you say?” Steve leaves the stage and marches up the aisle of the auditorium toward the facilitator with the microphone and the audience member who had been speaking into it. “What was that word you just used?”

“Uh …” The man from the audience is understandably apprehensive at having Captain America charge him. “… feminazi.”

Steve gathers the front of the man’s shirt in his fist. “I fought Nazis. Are you equating the slaughter of millions with this person -” Steve hadn’t heard before of the woman that the audience member had stood to ask about during the question and answer segment, and has forgotten the name, but that’s way beside the point now. “- standing up for her human rights?”

Steve didn’t notice Bucky leaving the stage but now he’s beside them, speaking very quietly. “I think this guy is the one who sounds like a Nazi. What do you think, Steve?”

“I think you’re right, Bucky.” Bringing himself back under control, but also conscious of good-cop-bad-cop vibe in the contrast between his tone and Bucky’s, Steve allows himself not to speak as quietly as Bucky is.

“I think,” says Bucky, quietly but ominously, “that the smartest thing this guy could do in his entire life would be if right now he left this room and this building, and never spoke that word again. What do you think, Steve?”

“I think you’re right, Bucky.” Steve lets go of the guy’s shirt.

As the guy hastens down the aisle ultimately to exit the auditorium, Steve and Bucky follow slowly on their way back to the stage. “I never want to hear that word again,” says Steve, not needing a microphone. “Who came up with that word anyway?”

“Rush Limbaugh,” comes an anonymous voice from the audience.

RADIO SHOW TRANSCRIPT, EXCERPT

LIMBAUGH: (continued) So you see, in context this woman -

ROGERS: Stepped on your toes. And in your mind that equated her actions with the slaughter of millions of people?

LIMBAUGH: She wasn’t just -

ROGERS: I guess that tells me how much you value the lives of Jews and of Allied soldiers. Hundreds of millions per toe of yours.

SLAMS REBLOG BUTTON SO HARD

The background here: my girlfriend had a 1944 dollhouse that she grew up with, and acquired bits of ‘furniture’ to make the experience more real. We were just down at her mom’s place for the holidays and, feeling nostalgic, she set up the bedroom. Her cat, Sunny, being the quirky thing that she is, finds new things interesting and manifests this curiosity by lying on them. These pics capture that moment: a small doll house bedroom with a gigantic Maine Coon, head resting on the pillow and everything. The first pic caught her getting comfortable, with her tongue just sticking out of her mouth.
